Key Stage 2 Teacher (Primary School – Year 3)

FIXED TERM POSITION from 1 August 2021 to 7 December 2021)
 

Blouberg International School is an independent co-educational school following the International Cambridge Curriculum. It has students from Nursery to Year 13. The school seeks to appoint an

open-minded and committed part-time teacher, commencing 1 August 2021.

 

 

The successful candidate for the above position will be expected to:

• Be committed to the ethos and values of the school and IES (blouberginternational.co.za and iesedu.com),

• Be loyal and trustworthy,

• Have good people skills with competent interpersonal and communication skills,

• Be a team player,

• Maintain confidentiality,

• Having some knowledge of the CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM would be beneficial but not essential,

• Be a dynamic and motivated educator who has a strong personal philosophy of education,

• Enhance the students’ competence/performance/achievement in, and enthusiasm for learning,

• Maintain high standards of classroom practice and work collaboratively with colleagues,

• Be available and willing to support functions/activities when required,

• Have a high level of computer skills,

• Be willing and able to participate/coach/offer an extra-curricular sport or club.

 

 

While we are currently back at school, the successful candidate will be expected to:

• Teach live online lessons via Google Meet,

• Be familiar with sharing resources via Google Classroom,

• Be prepared to offer hybrid/blended lessons with some students in class and others online from home.

 

The applicants must have:

• An appropriate academic and professional qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.

• Current or pending SACE registration.
